A fair with plenty of attractive options for a getaway!
This past 20th to the 22nd of March 2015, the Mercat d´Escapades getaway fair was held at the Plaça Nova next to Barcelona’s cathedral. This was a fantastic event organised by the Catalan Tourist Board and several other province tourist boards like Lleida, Girona, Tarragona and Barcelona.
With a wide selection of 111 different tourism ventures taking part in The Marcat d´Escapades fair, there certainly was something for everyone.
The event’s main aim was to introduce visitors to alternative and attractive new ideas for weekend getaways including relaxed or active family outdoor breaks which focused on cultural, gastronomic and wine tourism.
Winenium stand located within the wine tourism area next to renowned cava brands and province wine routes, presenting visitors with a varied and interesting selection of destinations and tours.

All Denominations of Origin (D.O.) could be introduced through a wine taste of the best wine and cava of each area. We had visits from locals as well as internationals from Scandinavia, US, UK, Germany, Belgium, Netherlands, France, Russia, Latvia, Japan, Taiwan, South Arabia, Venezuela.
