The impressive Montserrat Monastery located one hour away from Barcelona, is perched high on a mountain and it has been a place of pilgrimage and of deep religious interest for hundreds of years because a statue of a virgin was found onsite.
It was restored by an acclaimed modernist Architect Josp Puig i Cadafalch in 1925. Also famous for building elegant houses at the exclusive Passeig de Gràcia during the Modernism epoch.
Montserrat Monastery is famous for its singing children conservatoire, the oldest in Europe.
After your visit to the main building, you visit one of favourite wine cellars. The first organic wine in Spain. Its heavenly and charming location surrounded by vineyards make it one of our favourite stops. Relax in their gardens whilst wine tasting multi-award winning wines.
